I am a 43 old father who has enjoyed RC modelling in my youth and learned a lot of wisdom from it. My sons are 12 and 13, they are at a perfect age to learn the responsibilities and enjoying a very good learning experience in life. RC modelling is a good way for young minds to realise patience, responsibility, lateral thinking, engineering, maintenance and preparation. These are aspects of life we can all learn from at a young age and prepare us for adulthood. We share the good times and the bad when things break on the car, we learn to accept defeat, win with modesty, rise above failure and recover as quickly as we can. To some, a silly little model car is a toy, to us it is a scaled down version of "real life" and what we learn from our hobby teaches us aspects of life that will develop maturity that we can value in our future.
