Attached below is an extract of an email sent to me by Cricket Australia. They need some volunteers to operate some RC cars during any breaks in play at the upcoming Test in Brisbane. Ford is a major sponsor and the cars etc will be supplied in Ford livery.
If you are interested and would be available over the days listed below, please email our club secretary Michael Maujean (
secretary@qrccra.org.au) with your name, phone number and the day or days you would be available.
Days required are:
Thursday November 8
Friday November 9
Saturday November 10
We'll place the names in a hat and draw out the lucky people and notify you ASAP.

Extract of email from Cricket Australia:
Hi Ross,
Thanks for you time on the phone today.
As discussed, we’d like your assistance in providing 4 operators to be available at the first 3 days of the 1st 3 mobile Test between Australia and Sri Lanka starting Thur 8 November.
Their duties would include operating the remote control cars during the breaks in play – i.e. lunch break (12-12.40pm) and tea break (2.40-3pm) and possibly pre match (before 10am). In addition should there be a rain delay, they may be required to get the cars out on field to entertain the crowd. They will be fully briefed on the day.
We will provide 4 tickets for the days play so they can enjoy the cricket whilst at the match, obviously without consuming any alcohol.
