Minimize Lap Scoring and Race Management Software

Lap scoring and timing is currently done with Race Control Management utilising the AMBrc/MYLAPS RC3/RC4 system and multiple loops, it provides comprehensive functions and outputs to various sub programs, boasting one of the largest feature sets in the industry.

All of this runs on state of the art computer systems, providing instant results to the pit area monitors, electronic notice board and the Internet as required. Also raw timing feeds are streamed through a wireless network trackside, and can be monitored via several free timing programs available online, which allows competitors and club members to view timing on their personal laptops or PDA devices at or outside of race meetings.

RCM Online Easy works with the current wireless feed system, and is available to download for free at the RC-Timing.ch/Race Control Management website, and while there is no offical club support for it's use, configuration details for it are as follows.

Program Settings.
Decoder - AMBrc3
Interface - TCP/IP
Address - 192.168.0.250
Port - 5403

Note: The wireless network will only stream timing, laptop connection to network is open via DHCP.

Racing direction is clockwise around the circuit.

Minimize Transponder & Timing Information

Special Transponder and Timing Information VERY IMPORTANT!!!!

What is a Transponder?

A Transponder is a small device that is fitted to your car which is powered by the receiver battery or a third channel on the receiver and registers your lap times with the timing system as you cross the start finish line. This allows for accurate lap scoring and provides you with a record of you performance and gives you the opportunity to monitor how your driving improves as you gain more experience.

The AMB RC digital timing system has been chosen as the official lap scoring system for the QRCCRA Inc. Every competitor will be required to fit one of these devices to his/her car, which will be the car’s unique identity (relative to lap scoring) throughout the race.  There are 2 ways this can be achieved.

1. Purchase a Direct Powered Transponder (DPT) and permanently fit it to your car. If you decide to sell or upgrade your car, the Transponder can be removed and used on your next car. The club can advise you as to where you can purchase a personal transponder

Special Note:

If a spare channel on the receiver is not available a “Y” harness is required on the receiver battery or on the receiver.

2. Temporarily use a QRCCRA Inc supplied transponder for the race meeting. Most people use the loan transponders as a temporary measure to get started but it is advised that you purchase your own as described above.

Special Note:

When using a temporary / loan club transponder no wiring is required. The transponder is simply clipped to the car utilizing a bracket similar to that shown below.

Whatever your choice a transponder must be fitted to your car in order for your times to be measured and recorded. You cannot compete at organized club race meeting without one.
