Technical
inspections are carried out on cars to ensure they comply with
the relevant rules for that particular scale of car. This is to
ensure fair competition and that the skill of the competitor is
recognized via their driving and ability to set up the car - not
by illegally modifying the car to gain an unfair advantage.
It
is the driver’s responsibility to ensure their car meets the
technical rules at all times. It is up to the competitor to read
and understand the rules for the car they are driving. Penalties
for failing technical inspections can include losing points from
that meeting to suspensions for a set period of time depending
on the seriousness of the offence.
