Minimize Novice Tourer Rules
 

This class is intended for new and less experienced drivers only, when a consistent skill level is reached the driver will be regraded up to the Gastourer or Protourer classes, the skill level (laps driven in a 5 minute heat and in finals) will be set by the club, this level may change depending on conditions and other variations that may occur, eg different track lay out used. New drivers can go straight into the Gastourer or Protourer class if they feel there skill level warrants this.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

1.0 Cars must be 10th Scale.

1.1 All cars must have a de-clutching device and have an operating brake capable of stopping the car and holding the car motionless with the engine running.

1.2 A muffler must be used, be it a muffler can or tune pipe no variable chamber or self-adjusting chamber pipes allowed. If a car is deemed too loud the car must be stopped and the noise level reduced to 83db before it can return to the track.

1.3 Fuel tank capacity to be 75.00cc including all fuel tubing, filters, etc. No loose inserts allowed inside the tank

1.4 The body must be made from a flexible material and be painted properly. All windows must remain clear and not be painted over or be semi-transparent. Bodies are not to be cut above the lower bumper line at the front or the back or above the bottom line of the doors. Details of all front and rear lights, grills, air intakes and windows must be clearly contrasted from the surrounding paintwork.

1.5 The front bumper must follow the body contour and must be constructed so as to minimize injury that may result from being hit by a car. The bumper must be made from foam rubber or a flexible plastic material.

1.6 Fuel will only contain methanol (methyl alcohol), lubricating oil and a maximum of 16% nitro methane in volume.

1.7 Tyres are open to driver’s choice. Max Rim and tyre width 30mm, Max diameter 70mm. No tire treatments, additives and cleaners are allowed to be used on the tyres.

1.8 The aerial support must be flexible. Carbon, GRP, steel, etc. are not allowed.

1.9 The use of electronic gyroscopes, traction control, onboard abs, active suspension, on board tuning, data logger and rpm gauges is not allowed. Temperature gauges are allowed.
