Technical Inspection

Technical inspections are carried out on cars to ensure they comply with the relevant rules for that particular scale of car. This is to ensure fair competition and that the skill of the competitor is recognized via their driving and ability to set up the car – not by illegally modifying the car to gain an unfair advantage.

It is a driver’s responsibility to ensure their car meets the technical rules at all times. It is up to the competitor to read and understand the rules for the car they are driving. Penalties for failing technical inspections can include losing points from that meeting to suspensions for a set period of time depending on the seriousness of the offence.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO COMPETITORS

The chemical treatment of tyres by adding any tyre traction moistures or other chemicals / additives is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Tyre cleaners are not allowed.

The Pine Rivers Shire Council has deemed these products unsafe to the environment due to the risk of these residues potentially polluting  the creek that runs at the rear of the facility.

Certain brands of these products contain known carcinogenic substances, therefore QRCCRA Inc has banned there use on tyres whether treated at the track or prior to bringing the tyres to the track.

PERSONS FOUND TO BE USING ANY SUBSTANCE ON THEIR TYRES WILL BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY ACTION INCLUDING REMOVAL FROM THE PREMISES AND FORFETURE OF THEIR MEMBERSHIP WITHOUT REFUND OF ANY BALANCE.

Be informed that “Random” scrutineering may be performed at any time during a race meetings. Again, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure their car meets the relevant technical rules at all times.
